The Love Affair Event – Post report
The faces and expressions of the fashion lovers as they delicately stepped off the Dubai Mall ice rink said it all: the Aiisha Ramadan and Victoria Casal collaboration in the form of the fashion show on a unique setting had delivered on its promise. There was pure magic in the air and as the snow filtered down from the sky and enveloped the models as well as the designers at the conclusion of the show, there were many in the crowd that easily agreed that the bar for future such events’ has been set very high.
From the elegant beginning with ice skater Natasha Alexander Kemble twirling and gliding to a riveting rendition of Nessun Dorma by opera tenor Andrew Amdur to the breathtaking end when a stunning show stopper dress drew gasps of delight from the assembled crowd, the whole evening was a perfect testament to the power of creative brilliance. Aiisha Ramadan and Victoria Casal showed through their collaborations that beautiful poetry can envelop fashion ingenuity and the end result was true bliss for fashion enthusiasts everywhere.
This fashion show was a clear representation of true commitment to high quality fashion as each and every Aiisha dress was complemented and inspired by a specific Victoria Casal jewellery piece and a tailored Manolo Blahnik shoe. No two sets were alike and each model display showed the powerful synergy of all three brands in various combinations.

This was a vision that Danielle Wilson of CS-PR and I knew we could create and I’m very proud to say we delivered on that promise.”
As Dubai and its fashion world savour last nights memorable display, it becomes clear that a new, fresh spirit and energy is beginning to replace the remnants of the past. Aiisha and the Love Affair fashion show has demonstrated that greater heights can be achieved and that the future can hold more unique, innovative methods of creating fashion nirvana. Last night’s fashion show was a statement that designers like Aiisha Ramadan and the Dubai fashion scene that she represents are not only here to stay but they will be standard bearers for the future, trailblazing their own new path.
